Body Pain
Lower Back Pain
Lower back pain is one of the main reasons that make people to choose acupuncture treatment. This decision mostly made after they tried all possible healing methods and still suffer.
Lower back pain is what people feel when the ache or pain develops in lumbar – the lower part of spinal column, below – across or down the sacrum or painful hip muscles. The feeling might be mild and achy, sharp, strong, throbbing or shooting. The pain might radiate down either on the back of the leg or along the outer side of the leg. See page: Sciatica or Sciatic Nerve Inflammation
Lower Back Pain Cause
There are multiple causes for lower back pain like subluxation of one or more lumbar vertebrae, inflammation of the sacroiliac – SI joints, as well as muscle or connective tissues inflammation.
Between hundreds of health problems that we see in our clinic daily, the lower back pain is presented every day. There are numerous causes we see in our practice that could relate to lower back pain like a bad fall, MVA accident, sport injury, repetitive motion in a workplace or fitness, nerve pinched, a poor posture, or simply sedentary lifestyle. Often, after trying other healing methods people finally call on acupuncturist to find relief, or with having just a few more treatments acquire the total health restoration.
According to Google the definition of lower back pain is – Low back pain is pain, muscle tension, or stiffness localized below the costal margin and above the inferior gluteal folds, with or without sciatica, and is defined as chronic when it persists for 12 weeks or more.
Lower Back Acupuncture Treatment
During body examination acupuncturist can narrow down the location of the inflammation and decrease or eliminate it instantly. Unlike any other method of diagnosis and treatment, Japanese medical assessment allows acupuncturist to recognize where the nerve is affected with precision.
Every acupuncture point chosen by acupuncturist is connected with the brain by the nervous system. The particular nerves that are engaged in acupuncture treatment deliver the information from the affected area of the lower back to the particular cells in the brain. The brain cells in turn are responding to this info by initiating the secretion of the bodily natural opioids and anti-inflammatory chemical compounds delivered to the affected area. And this is the initiating of the healing. This is what we call an instant pain relief. The patients are leaving the clinic in much better state than they came in.
In a case of acute lower back problem, a patient needs only one or two treatments. Yet, the majority of people have tendency to ignore pain or take painkillers to work and live day by day having a serious health problem for multiple months or even several years. And as a consequence, they need more treatments to restore their health from the chronic health issue.
New patients often ask how many treatments are needed to get rid of lower back pain? Maybe one treatment will take pain down, but acupuncture should not be compared to taking a Tylenol pill. The pain is just a symptom, acupuncture treats the root cause of the lower back problem and repair the damage occurred during the time of negligence.

Our clinical experience shows that people who are not educated in anatomy and physiology are not aware of how to preserve their health. The lack of knowledge and understanding how mind and body correlate leads people to feel out of control over their own health. Reading this book everyone becomes knowledgeable enough to withstand any body health problem and preserve one’s health.
