Perimenopause means “around menopause” and refers to the time during which woman’s body makes the natural transition to menopause, marking the end of the reproductive years. Perimenopause is also called the menopausal transition.

Menopause is a point in time 12 months after a woman’s last period. The years leading up to that point, when women may have changes in their monthly cycles, hot flashes, or other symptoms, are called the menopausal transition or perimenopause. The menopausal transition most often begins between ages 45 and 55.

Perimenopause Symptoms:

  • Erratic menstruation
  • Menorrhagia
  • Hormonal imbalance
  • Mood swings
  • Hot flashes
  • Sleep disturbance
  • Mouth and throat dryness
  • Night sweats

Acupuncture for Perimenopause Disturbances

Every woman has individual experience during perimenopause. It varies from no to couple symptoms to suffering from hot flashes making woman suddenly feel extremely hot sometimes followed by sweating then suddenly shifts to chills – feeling shivers and goosebumps.

The hormonal imbalance like roller coaster in estrogen blood levels influence erratic menstruation that can stop for a month or longer, or start every two weeks for a week or two. To harmonize the estrogen level doctors usually prescribe medications taken in orally or externally as estradiol patches.

Some women have menorrhagia – menstrual bleeding that might last more than 7 days. It can also be bleeding that is very heavy and often ceaseless.
All these symptoms acupuncture can ease and eliminate the suffering just in few treatments. Acupuncture will help you to get rid of mood swings easily.
Allow yourself to find the credible acupuncturist and book an appointment. They are caused not only by your age but also by your mind and body imbalances. The main organs that are involved in the process are liver, spleen and kidneys. Also, endocrine system consisting of glands secreting necessary hormones should be balanced in order to acquire health and well-being.

In our clinic we apply Japanese medical diagnosis which allows acupuncturist to detect organs and systems imbalances during thorough palpation of bodily reflex zones. Thus, we can see a clear picture of health problems patient is facing and decide what must be addressed immediately.

We have experience to stop menorrhagia sometimes with one treatment. We can stop bleeding that practically is losing minerals and vitamins which are essential for life; stop hot flashes and night sweats, balance the estrogen with one point on the body and bring peace and harmony to your mind and body just in few treatments.
