Body Pain

Morton's Neuroma

Morton’s neuroma is a painful syndrome people experience when landing foot on the ground.

Usually, it’s occurring because of a thickening in the nerve (like a bulge) running between metatarsals (the bones of the forefoot connected to toes). As per our clinical experience it often happens between second and third or third and fourth toes. Sometimes we heal neuroma in one location and with time the patient complains about the same problem just between other toes.

Your doctor most likely will run some tests, exams and as a result the surgery will be suggested. We have a great experience proving that the operation is not a solution. It involves anesthetising – not very healthy impact with a long and painful recovery and rehabilitation.

Because the problem in the foot is actually just a scapegoat. It happens because there is no alignment in the body -shoulders and hips making muscles of the leg adjust to the situation to be able to hold you properly in an upright position. As a result, the foot is finally landing on the ground not correctly – tilted a bit (medially or laterally) to the left or right side of the foot creating a shift between metatarsals, making the distance between them wider or narrower. Where it’s narrower, it stifles the muscles around the nerve, depriving it from circulation (oxygen supply and necessary nutrients) and compressing the nerve which in turn starts to “scream” with sharp and burning pain.

So after the surgery, where is a guarantee that you won’t have it again or in the other location? We check and balance your body alignment, releasing the muscles that are trapped in a hip, thigh, leg and foot. This makes the foot to land properly. Along with it, we take care of the nerve bulge, healing it and getting rid of the swell. There is no pain in your foot anymore after the course of treatments.

Clinical Relevance

Understanding that pain is always a consequence of inflammation is easy if you have possibility to read chapter Inflammation and How to Deal with It on pages 139-146. There you can also find The List o Foods to Avoid during inflammation on page 144 of my book, Your MindBody Alliance & The Truth About Acupuncture.

Our clinical experience shows that people who are not educated in anatomy and physiology are not aware of how to preserve their health. The lack of knowledge and understanding how mind and body correlate leads people to feel out of control over their own health. Reading this book everyone becomes knowledgeable enough to withstand any body health problem and preserve one’s health.
